Save the dates, my keto friends, because we are going to have us some fun here in Portland!

The author holding a copy of The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking

See what I’ve got here in my hot little hands? Yes, yes, it’s the very first copy of The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking. Can’t you just see the absolute look of joy on my face?

We still have a month to go before this ginormous 400+ page tome hits bookstore shelves, or your doorstep, if you happen to have pre-ordered it. But I have a few announcements to make that will hopefully get you as excited as I am. So read on…

Portland book signing!

I’m going to be at the Barnes & Noble in Clackamas on December 3rd, the day the book officially comes out. Join me for a lively discussion of all things keto and all things baking. And I may even bring along a few goodies from the book itself for you to try!

I wish I could do a full book tour this year but it’s not in the cards. My husband is having major shoulder surgery soon and will be incapacitated for up to 8 weeks, so I need to stick around the homestead and be at his every beck and call (haha, if you knew me in real life, you’d know how funny that is…).

But if you’re in the Rose City vicinity, I would love to meet you! 7pm on Tuesday December 3rd. BE THERE!

RSVP for Portland Book Signing HERE

Epic launch party in January!

Yes, that is the plan. I am throwing my baby (aka my cookbook) a big old party on January 25th and I would love for you to be there. Details still need to be worked out but I am meeting with my event planner and the venue this week. So SAVE THE DATE!

via GIPHY

The party will include keto nibbles and cocktails, and a few desserts from the book itself. And raffles and prizes from some of your favorite keto brands!

Tickets will be $25 and all proceeds will be donated to charity. (The only reason I need to charge for tickets is to have a true headcount for the caterers and venue staff).

If you’re local and you’re keto, you have to be there. So put it in your calendar now. More details to come!

Free Gifts for those who pre-order

Finally, I want to thank all of you who have pre-ordered the book, and also encourage those of you who have been dilly dallying to get yours on order now!

Thus I am offering everyone a free gift with proof of purchase. I put together a little ebook with 10 of my most popular recipes, plus two new goodies that cannot be found anywhere else.

Just shoot a copy of your receipt to [email protected] and I will send you a link to download Let’s Get Baked (why yes, I did have fun coming up with that name!). Hopefully this will tide you keto bakeaholics over until the big book is in your hands.

Don’t say I never do anything nice for you.

Order your copy today!

I’d love to get your book. Quick question. I have a nut allergy, so no almond flour. I can use coconut flour. Are there recipes I can use? Thanks so much.

Yes, tons of coconut flour only recipes PLUS I suggest how you can use sunflower seed flour and pumpkin seed flour in place of almond flour.

Wish I could make it to Portland but it’s not in the cards. Sounds like fun. Also wishing your husband the best with his surgery. I had my shoulder replaced last year and while it’s rough for a little while it was a good decision. Shoulder pain is not fun. The worst part was the sling for 8 weeks. Drove me nuts but we all get through.

He may eventually need a full replacement too, but this surgery should help some of the pain for now…

So Amazon only shows the paperback edition. Will there be ebooks at some future date? I don’t really have space for a dead tree edition but would be willing to fork over for an epub or kindle edition.

The Kindle edition always comes out a few days before the actual launch. So somewhere between Dec 1 and Dec 3, is my guess.

Oh no! My advice… go for the furnace. The book won’t keep you that warm! 😉 I hope it works out okay, though.

    hi Carolyn!
I got the ebook. and it is wounderful. I made the chocolate donutes like a cupcake and with chocolate frosting and it turn very good. I have tried making the flourless penutbutter blondies and it came like a barter consistency mor like press dough like you wrot.I couldn’t press it. I used a homemade penut butter and it was firm. and 3 tbsp. solid soft coconut oil. I made ie in my vitamix blender I think that was the issu.I have blended on high.so next time I mix it by hand or in my blender in a lowest speed.
    thank so much .

Yes, these bars are not supposed to be made in a blender. It would whip the dough far too much.

Hi Virginia, there is no promotion code at this time but Amazon often does a deal right around black friday that gives you $5 off any book orders over $20 or $25 (can’t remember). What I do is search “amazon book coupon code” and I usually find it. I suspect it will go into effect on Thursday or Friday of the Thanksgiving week.

Thank you Carolyn especially for the videos on your facebook page!! My hubby’s doctor may be putting him on pills for diabetes but finally is willing to try your low carb keto recipes only because he can see what’s being made. And yes, he is drooling over the cauliflower recipes and sweets.
(Thank you from the wife that’s never listened to unless someone else tells him it’s so)
