Easy Low Carb Greek Shrimp Recipe

Don’t you hate it when gorgeous new cookware just shows up on your doorstep? I mean really…who needs all those beautiful shiny stainless steel pots and pans anyway? Who wants that stuff cluttering up their kitchen, making it easier and more fun to cook wonderful low carb recipes? Certainly not this girl. I hate to cook. I hate to eat. I really don’t like to think about food at all, if I can help it. It’s just such a nuisance, don’t you think?

New Lagostina Cookware Set

Oh wait, wait a second. This is All Day I Dream About Food and I’m the nut job who loves to cook and bake and really does dream about food all day. And one of the glorious benefits of my job is that shiny new cookware really does arrive on my doorstep for me to review. And one of the benefits of being a follower of the nut job who loves to cook is that this same shiny new cookware from Lagostina might also arrive  on YOUR doorstep too!

Easy Keto dinner recipe - Greek shrimp with tomatoes and feta

I don’t say yes to a lot of review products anymore because quite frankly, it’s not always worth my time and energy. But the new Luminosa 11 piece cookware set from Lagostina really looked so good, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try it out. I admit that the price point gave me pause. It’s a very reasonable $199 at Bed Bath and Beyond, which actually sounded a little too good to be true for a whole set of good cookware. But I have one lovely Lagostina soup pot already and I know it’s good craftsmanship so I thought I’d see how this whole set held up.

Lagostina pot

I am happy to report that my fears were unfounded. It not only LOOKS the part, with those unique hammered lids, but it plays the part too, being very durable and of high quality. It has real heft in your hand, which is one of my telltale signs of good cookware. It has a the 3-ply bonded base with stainless steel inside and out, and since it’s oven and broiler save up to 500ºF, it can go straight from stovetop to oven. The brushed cooking surface is made of premium grade stainless steel and the stay-cool handles are riveted on for extra durability. Picking it up, you simply feel that you have a good pan in your hands.

Easy Greek Shrimp Recipe. Low carb keto dinner.

Okay, so that’s how it feels…how does it actually cook? I have a very powerful gas stove and that was the real test. I had another set of stainless steel cookware that I never felt lived up to the heat of my stove. Things were always sticking to the bottom and burning onto the sides. So I was impressed when the Lagostina sauté pan heated evenly and cooked evenly, with no sticking or burning. I also tried it out on my little single induction burner and it heated beautifully there too.

I was asked to create a summer seafood meal that could be enjoyed al fresco so I chose an old favorite, Greek Shrimp, and gave it a delicious low carb makeover. This recipe was perfect for testing out the pots, as you use both the stove and the oven. Lagostina is well known for its beautiful design so it really does go from stove to oven to table without skipping a beat. Truly perfect for enjoying your meals al fresco.

Delicious low carb Greek Shrimp recipe.

I see the mention of cauliflower rice at the end of your recipe. I just want to be sure I’m right to assume that the nutritional information is just for the ingredients for the main dish and do not include the cauliflower rice. Thanks so much!

My favorite “al fresco” meal requires very little prep work, beyond boiling them – plain, sweet Dungeness Crab! Just spread out the newspaper on the picnic table, add a roll of paper towels and wet towelettes, roll up your sleeves & get cracking!

But if I were to have to actually cook something it would involve chicken, mushrooms, water chestnuts, garlic, and Romaine lettuce leaves or Bibb lettuce. So, since I don’t have any crab on hand, I think I am going to go make the later. YUM.

Fave al fresco?? Has to be burrito bowls. Love em!! But this sounds pretty darn good too!! Love Greek flavors; thanks for the new recipe!
As far as the cook ware…. Oh please pick me!! All my pans are warping from excessive use and old age. I love em, but they’re need to be replaced, and these are beautiful and durable! Pretty please?!? 😉

My favorite al fresco meal is crawfish boil! I love getting messy and just really digging in, primal style with no utensils.

Love your blog! Your recipes are the best! Our current family favorite is just about any dessert. My gluten-free daughter and I enjoyed your kentucky butter cake with lots of strawberries and whipped cream while we watched fireworks last night.

I’m known for my attention to detail, so I’m interested to find out why this recipe is
slightly different from the one in “Easy Keto diners” ? It’s the same dish in the photo but some ingredients are not the same. I have cooked it and it was delicious but I’m just curious!
