Exciting News and A Giveaway!

I have exciting news. Well, news that is exciting to me, at any rate! I was informed this morning that All Day I Dream About Food has been listed as one of the 50 Best Blogs for South Beach Dieters by MastersInHealthCare.com. I am not on the South Beach Diet, but you’d pretty much have to live under a rock to not have heard of it these days. Since I try to maintain a low carb diet to control my blood sugars, it makes sense that a lot of my recipes would be South Beach diet friendly. Other blogs on the list include widely read sites like Kalyn’s Kitchen, Livin’ La Vida Low Carb and Mark’s Daily Apple, and I am just thrilled to be considered among such heavy hitters.

The thing about blogging is that sometimes you don’t have a clue if what your putting out there is being read by anyone or considered worthwhile. I am fortunate to have found support from fellow bloggers, fellow diabetics, and of course, friends and family. Getting some recognition beyond these bounds is like the icing on an already delicious cake. Luckily for me, it’s a virtual, and hence low carb, cake and I am free to partake! So my thanks to the good people at MastersinHealthcare.com, and I encourage you all to check out the other wonderful blogs on the list.

This has put me in such a good mood, I decided to do a giveaway! Truth be told, I’ve been thinking of doing this giveaway for a while. Let me preface this to say that this is all of my own accord. No one from the company has contacted me or sent me any free products to review. I just like their products so much I want to spread the word.

I am always on the lookout for healthy, low carb snacks that can help fuel me through my day. I often make my own, but with three kids, sometimes I want to be able to rely on the convenience of a pre-packaged treat. I found, and quickly fell in love with, the Mrs. May’s Nut Crunches at my local wholesale store. Not all of their items are as low carb as I need them to be, but several have 10g of carbs per serving or less, and they are seriously good. I am partial to their Triple Berry Crunch, but they have a number of other varieties I am eager to try. All of their products are Gluten Free, Vegan and made without preservatives, and they strike me as a socially responsible company. You can check them out yourself at mrsmaysonline.com

So I’ve decided to give away a gift basket of Mrs. May’s products to a randomly selected reader. All you need to do is comment and tell me you want to enter. I won’t require that you follow me or like me on Facebook or any of that, although if you choose to do so, I won’t kick you out of bed for eating crackers (or eating Mrs May’s, either!).

Comments/entries will be accepted until 12pm EST on October 31st, and I will announce the winner on Monday, November 1st. Please make sure I have a way to contact you if you win.

Good luck!

I love the South Beach diet. My problem is that by being a food blogger, I find myself drifting into recipes that are non-South Beach friendly. The diet does work, it really does.

I love Kalyn's Kitchen and follow it faithfully.

Congratulations!! I have never been a "dieter", however I did follow the SBD for a few months and never felt better. Unfortunately, I've slipped back to my carb habits and am having a difficult time breaking them this time. I will check out the other blogs you have listed and see if I can find some inspiration!

Congrats on your award! That's so exciting! While I bake with sugar often, we try to control the amount. And my dad's a diabetic so it is crucial to have wonderful recipes like yours to send back home. Just wonderful! Great job!
