Carolyn, Can you reduce the number of pop-ups on your site? It’s becoming very “sticky” and jumpy.

    Thanks

I don’t have any pop-ups, except for a single one that only pops up every 7 days (for Instagram). It might be your mobile browser. There’s a known virus on iOS. Try these things to get rid of it:

Try updating your iOS system to the most recent version. Or try these methods.

      Change Cookie Settings
      1. Click Settings on your iPhone
      2. Select Safari
      3. Scroll down and click Block Cookies
      4. Select Allow for Current Website Only

      Clear all Website Data
      1. Double-click your home button and close Safari
      2. Go to Settings
      3. Select Safari
      4. Scroll down and click Clear History and Website Data
*Note: This will close all of your Safari browser windows

Cinnamon Stars. It’s an old recipe from McCall’s that has a meringue base and uses almond flour, so it’s easy to make low carb by switching out the sweetener and using coconut flour instead of regular flour.

My ultimate favorite is the Magic Cookie Bar recipe that has the graham cracker and butter base, chocolate chips, coconut, nuts and topped with the sweetened condensed milk. I think it would be somewhat easy to reproduce for low carb enjoyment. (maybe it already has!) Although I just bought some low carb chocolate chips to use for the chocolate chip cookie cheesecake bars on your site. I am making them today as we are celebrating Thanksgiving one day late. Our daughter and her husband are returning from their honeymoon.

I have a recipe called Mint Tweeties that were my late sister-in-law’s favorite. I want to mess with the recipe to make it low carb. The biggest challenge will be a brown sugar substitute. They are a shortbread type bar cookie with a mint chocolate topping. I know I could probably add a drop or two of food grade peppermint oil to melted Lily’s chocolate chips. But the crust presents challenges. Garbanzo bean flour would probably give me the right texture, but the carb count would be too high. I may try using a mix of coconut flour and bean flour. Almond flour won’t work for this because my son loves them and is allergic to tree nuts

I love Penzey’s ! I use their spices and herbs in my cooking and baking. I highly recommend their Vietnamese Cinnamon, Mural of Flavor and Sunny Paris for anyone ! Their gift boxes rock, and are part of my holiday gift-giving every year. I use almost everything they offer, so if anyone has any ? about their products, feel free to ask.

My sister makes what our mother called “Icebox Cookies”. These are brown sugar cookies with walnuts. The dough is formed into rolls and can be stored in the fridge or for a longer time in the freezer. You slice off as many as you want and bake them. I don’t know which I love more – the raw dough, which rivals chocolate chip cookie dough, or the warm soft slightly crispy at the edges freshly baked cookies. A low carb version would be terrific.

They were the best when you rolled them very thin and let the edges get a little brown. Some members in my family would actually tell me to stop making them because they couldn’t stop eating them. YUM
