Have you ever tried Thrive Market for low prices on keto and low carb products? I am quickly becoming a fan! This post contains affiliate links.
You know the song from the musical Hair… “It is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”? I have that running through my head right now, but with slightly different words. Because my friends, I think we are right now at the dawning of the Age of the Ketogenic Diet. Not quite so catchy and I am pretty sure it wouldn’t flow as well in the song or the musical, but it’s what I see. We aren’t quite IN the age yet…the world is still struggling to catch up on the science and see what the keto diet holds in store for them. But I see a glimmer on the horizon, the sun is coming up and it’s going to be bright. Got your shades?
I say this because I’ve been doing this low carb/keto thing for almost 8 years now. Not always keto, of course, but certainly quite low carb since I discovered how important it was to manage my blood sugar. And in that time, I have seen things change quite drastically. We have so many more choices now than we used to…choices in products and more and more places making those products available to us. It’s a much easier time to be on the keto diet than it was 10 years ago. And it’s only going to get easier from here.
Of course, you have to be able to separate the proverbial wheat from the chaff. There are a lot of not-so-healthy keto imposters out there and lately everybody wants to slap the word “keto” on their products. It’s a hot keyword right now. I find myself falling into an Amazon rabbit hole at times, trying to find products that truly fit the keto diet. So I’ve found myself turning to Thrive Market more and more and I wanted to tell you a little more about them.
Chances are you’ve at least heard of Thrive Market as they are pretty big on social media and have plenty of big name ambassadors. But they aren’t just another online marketplace and maybe that’s why they are so popular. They are devoted to making organic and healthy living as accessible as possible. Thrive has thousands of non-GMO foods and natural products, at prices that are always 20-25% lower than retail. You can filter your searches on Thrive Market for dietary preferences and values…Paleo, gluten-free, vegan and they have just added a KETOGENIC category! Admittedly, it’s a work in progress as I see many more items on their site that are keto-friendly and haven’t been categorized as such. But they asked if I would help spread the word and I am more than happy to. Because we can all use more choices!
How does Thrive Market work?
Some people balk at the fact that Thrive is a membership-based marketplace. Yes, there is an annual membership fee and you do have to become a member to get the great prices. It’s just like any other wholesale club you’ve joined in the past. Think of it like the Costco of the organic and healthy food world….but that actually delivers right to your door.
BUT…and this is a big BUT…they want to do something extra special for the keto community, because they see which way the wind is blowing. So…
Right now, Thrive Market is going to hook you up with $60 of FREE organic groceries + Free shipping, on top of the wholesale prices. This is quite a sweet deal, you have to admit. Think about it: if you normally spend $100 on low carb products, at Thrive Market you’d only spend $50-75 on a given order. With this offer, you’ll now get an additional $60 off on all high quality food and products. Thrive carries many things you already purchase, so why wouldn’t you give them a try?
And one more thing I love about Thrive is their mission. True to their word about making healthy living accessible, they also give back in a big way. For every membership purchased, Thrive Market gives a free membership to a low-income family to help make healthy living easy and affordable for everyone.
I also love that the nutritional information for every product is out there in plain sight, so easy to find. Unlike a few other major online marketplaces I can think of.
What’s not to love? Here are just a few of the items I have ordered before from Thrive…and a few I can’t wait to try.
Nutiva Coconut Manna (aka coconut butter)
And this one I am super excited about trying this dried cauliflower rice from Keto & Co
