Salad should be part of any healthy diet, and certainly no less so on a low carb or keto diet. But it can get mighty boring to eat all those raw veggies sometimes. That’s why having a good selection of keto salad dressing is vital to your health!
There are a few keto experts out there who have been pushing the salad lately. One in particular says that we should all be eating 7 cups of salad greens per day.
Dude, that’s a lot of salad! I might have to purchase stock in some keto dressings, just to stay on top of that.
Truth be told, while I eat quite a bit of salad, I certainly don’t eat 7 cups per day. I try to get a wide range of veggies throughout my day, starting at breakfast. And when I am feeling snacky, I reach for the fresh low carb vegetables like celery, cucumber, and radish.
But even eating those can get a little tiresome, and I find myself reaching for something to dip them in. Just to get a little more flavor in my mouth.
I figured I am not alone here. So it might be a good idea to put together a collection of the best keto salad dressing for all our sakes. Both homemade and store-bought.
Now go make yourself a big keto-friendly salad and enjoy!
Keto salad dressing to buy
The trick to finding good store-bought keto salad dressing: Read. The. Label.
Not everything that calls itself keto is truly healthy or keto-friendly. I poked around a bit, checking out many keto salad dressing brands and quite a few of them contained things like canola oil. Don’t go there. Just don’t
I am a huge fan of the Primal Kitchen salad dressings. I know they contain good fats like avocado oil, and no scary things like soybean or canola oil.
I get mine on Thrive Market since it’s much less expensive that way. Yes, there is a membership fee but it’s similar to Costco and then you save continuously. They also have a wonderful program that gives back. If you purchase a membership, they donate one to a family in need.
My favorite store-bought keto dressings:
Sesame Ginger – I can’t seem to get enough of this one right now. I put it on EVERYTHING! Really good drizzled over the Salmon Avocado Salad too.
Greek Vinaigrette – my kids favorite!
Italian Vinaigrette – they love this one too.
Ranch Dressing – super tangy and great for dipping. Totally dairy-free too!
Saucy Lips Zesty Cilantro – the name says it all! And it’s zero carb so yay.
Fat & Happy Balsamic – made with MCT Oil.
Chosen Foods Lemon Garlic – Light and easy and goes with everything.
Best Homemade Keto Salad Dressing
It’s incredibly easy to make salad dressing at home, and it’s usually less expensive as well. The only issue is the that they sometimes contain perishable ingredients and won’t last as long as the store-bought versions.
But if you know you can use them up in a few days, then making your own can be extra delicious. Just be sure to choose the healthiest ingredients for an added nutritional boost. I love to use avocado oil and apple cider vinegar in some of vinaigrette style dressings, and avocado oil mayo in ranch and other tangy, creamy version.

Any chance the jalapeño avocado ranch dressing would freeze? Not sure if we’ll go through it in a week
