My Favorite Bob’s Red Mill Recipes and $100 Gift Card Giveaway

My favourite low carb recipes featuring Bob’s Red Mill products and a giveaway for a $100 Bob’s Gift Card!

Bob's Gift Card

When it comes to creating low carb recipes, I tend to be fiercely brand loyal. Sugar-free and gluten-free baking can be so finicky, so sensitive to minute changes, that if I find something that works for me, I stick with it. And if that brand’s MO happens to jive with my own, if they promote health and wellness and are concerned with putting out the best possible product in order to help people live life to the fullest, I become even more loyal. There aren’t too many brands I feel this strongly about, but Bob’s Red Mill certainly ranks among the top few. This year I was tapped to be a Bob’s Red Mill brand ambassador, but believe me when I say that I would feel this way regardless of our current working relationship. I was loyal to many of their products long before I ever started working with them. The fact that they like my work and want to help me promote the low carb message is just icing on the cake.

When I look over my recipe archives, I see that the vast majority of my baked goods are made with at least one Bob’s product, and usually more than one. If I use coconut flour, it’s Bob’s. If I use chia seed, it’s Bob’s. Arrowroot flour, flax seed meal, xanthan gum, shredded coconut, flaked coconut…all Bob’s Red Mill. And some of my all-time favourite recipes are made with Bob’s hazelnut meal. I’m a true fan, can you tell?

I know many of you enjoy their low carb and gluten-free products as well and lucky for you, I am giving away a $100 Bob’s Red Mill gift certificate! I also picked out some of my top recipes made with Bob’s Red Mill products. There were so many, it was hard to settle on just a few but here are some to give you a little inspiration on how to use up the gift card.

I use Bob’s Red Mill products for all my gluten free baking. I have an awesome bread recipe for the bread machine. It is super easy and so delicious! I have used the BRM coconut flour and almond flour–nice change! I can’t wait to try the lemon blueberry mug cake and the cheddar biscuits! Thanks, for some awesome recipes.
I have a problem with salt though. What cheese could I use for less salt?

I keep a line up of Bob’s gluten-free flours in my cupboard. We go through garbanzo bean flour the most, not only for gluten-free baking, but as delicious egg-free “scrambles” for breakfast. I am currently helping to bake pies for Thanksgiving Baskets for our local food bank. I could really use this gift card to help so many people!

I love their variety and their large push in making things healthier and ease in adapting them. It’s hard to pick a favorite, I use so many of the flours and a couple starches too and love them all. So instead, I’ll say my favorite product is the toasted carob powder. I’ve had to quit chocolate for the most part and switch to carob, and I’ve found that all brands of carob are not created equally. But Bob’s carob powder has subbed in just fine for chocolate, so once again I can make brownies.

I began supporting Bob’s Red Mill because I strongly approved of the business model. Now that I am low carbing, the Red Mill products have been life savers. The organic coconut flour, almond meal, and hazelnut meal are staples, but the vital wheat gluten is another fave. I am learning more about phytic acid and toning down all grains and nuts, but until I understand this better, I will continue to use some vital wheat gluten, too. Thanks for a wonderful line of products and a sustainable, ethical business model!
