Low Carb giveaway from Organic Valley

I am a coffee freak, and I don’t care who knows it. I love everything about the stuff, from the smell to the taste to that eye-opening brightness that seeps into my veins. I love coffee culture too, the coffee houses with squashy couches where you can meet a friend to chat or just sip a creamy cappuccino and savour your thoughts. I helped pay my way through university working in a number of these kinds of places, some good, some not so good, and I became quite an accomplished barista. I could froth that milk and cream like nobody’s business!

When I started drinking coffee at the ripe old age of 14, I drank it black, just as my parents did. But the really bad coffee in my freshman dorm quickly cured me of that. It was absolutely unpalatable unless I added cream, and from then on I was hooked on that creamy coffee flavour. Coffee and cream in my morning imperative and I can’t function properly without it. And I don’t care who knows it.

Coffee with heavy whipping cream. A low carb keto treat!

Which is why this fun campaign from Organic Valley made me smile. “The world’s best coffee…just add coffee”. I totally get that. The coffee matters, of course. But what you put in your coffee really matters too. I’ve been an Organic Valley fan for a long time and we keep a variety of their products in our fridge, many of which can be added to coffee (or vice versa). I’m an equal opportunity creamer: I love the heavy cream in my coffee but also enjoy the half and half. Sometimes I even do the bulletproof coffee with a chunk of their cultured butter. My husband prefers the half and half, as do the kids when they want some. So I got quite a giggle that Organic Valley actually opened a coffee house in Manhattan that serves half and half…with a side of coffee. Watch real Organic Valley farmer Gerrit van Tol confuse the heck out New Yorkers expecting a big cup of coffee with the cream on the side.

I love Organic Valley creams and butters because it is just what it’s supposed to be: real cream, real milk, nothing else, from cows that are pastured. When I am away from home and drinking other cream, I can taste the difference. I truly can. I also love the Organic Valley mission, being a farmer-owned cooperative with a focus on sustainability. So I am delighted to be giving away a fun coffee gift basket on their behalf so that you can make your own World’s Best Cup of Coffee. The basket will include:

  • Organic Valley Half & Half
  • A French press
  • Coffee beans (from Marley Coffee) <—- this is actually great coffee, I’ve had it a few times!
  • A travel mug
  • Organic Valley coupons

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Many thanks to Organic Valley for helping me bring you this delicious giveaway!

I’m a coffee addict, I drink at least a pot a day and just like you was introduced to creamer International delight french vanilla. Thought life would end when I decided to give up all that sugar and go natural. I have to admit I haven’t tried Organic Valley products yet, but do put half and half plus kerrygold in my coffee or sometimes just HWC. Still miss my french vanilla but finally starting to adjust. Will look for these in my area, as I continue my journey of going all Organic.

I really liked the fact you could order your amount of cream and then put coffee in it. I have bulletproof coffee every day, for over a year now, and I never stick to anything. 2nd cup could happen, with heavy cream. I used to go all no fat before LCHF. I used to love the flavored creamers too, but now it’s all natural and no sugar.
