Swerve and a KitchenAid Giveaway

Okay, so I’ve made it abundantly clear that I have a favourite low carb sweetener.  There are, in my humble opinion,  many advantages to using Swerve Sweetener in place of other low and no-calorie sweeteners.  It barely registers in my blood glucose, it doesn’t cause me any gastro-intestinal upset, and unlike most other erythritol based sweeteners, it has little to no cooling effect in the mouth.  And because of the added oligosaccharides, it is sweeter and can be used cup for cup to replace sugar.  But there’s another reason that I love Swerve and that’s because the people behind the product are really wonderful.  And I mean that sincerely.

Yes, they do send me free product and yes, they did fly me down to New Orleans to tape a few cooking show segments, but that’s not why I feel this way.  I’ve met them a few times now and they are just delightful.  They care about their product, they care about their customers, and they have delightful Southern accents, what more could you ask for?  Well, one of them has a delightful Australian accent, but whatever.  Delightful accents all around.  But really, they do believe in their product and they go to great lengths to procure non-GMO erythritol, and to test it, and test it and test it some more.

And they really do care about their customers.  They want to make Swerve more readily available to the average customer, and get it on store shelves across the US and Canada.  And they’ve asked  me to help, by asking my readers to tell me where they live and where they shop.  Not, I assure you, in a Big Brother kind of way, but simply general location (state and town and grocery stores where you shop).  As an added incentive, every person who contributes this information will be entered to win a 5 quart KitchenAid stand mixer.  Have I ever told you how much I love my KitchenAid stand mixer?  I could write odes to the darn thing!  Great kitchen gadgets and delightful accents…what more could you ask for?

Giveaway Rules:

1.  Open to US and Canadian residents

2. Contest will run from now until August 15th, 2012 at midnight EDT at which time I will select a winner at random.
