Did you know that All Day I Dream About Food turns 6 years old today? Yup, that’s right. 6 years ago today, I sat down at my computer and thought I would start a food blog. It was just a little whim I had, and I thought it would be fun. I had no idea where it would take me. I had no concept that this little venture of mine would become a full-time profession, and that I would connect with readers around the world in their quest for a healthier, low carb lifestyle. In fact, it didn’t even start out as a low carb food blog at all. My first recipe was for homemade bread, for goodness sakes! Now here we are, 6 years later and well over a million page views a month. And we are still growing and growing. Truly amazing and I am ever so grateful for the journey and for all of my wonderful fans and readers. So let’s PARTY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ADIDAF!
I asked my blog what she would like for her birthday treat (yes, ADIDAF is most definitely a girl) and she said keto chocolate chip cookies. She said “cake is good, we like cake, but what we are craving right now is a big batch of ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookies”. How could I deny her such a thing? So I rounded up my best low carb chocolate chip cookie recipes, plus some of my chocolate chip cookie-inspired creations. And a few wonderful recipes from my low carb blogger friends. It’s a chocolate chip cookie-themed birthday party.
Turns out that there are about a million ways to make really good keto chocolate chip cookies. And they don’t all come in actual cookie form. Think outside the box and make fun treats such as:
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Truffles
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream
Don’t limit yourself just to cookies! Enjoy all the wonderful varieties and forms of these amazing keto cookie recipes. And be sure to check out my recipe for your own homemade sugar free chocolate chips.
And without further ado, let’s get on it!

I’ve been at this LC thing for 12 or 13 yrs (due to pcos), and I can honestly say your blog is major tool in making this journey doable. When I stared 13 yrs ago, options were things like Atkins mixes. You have such a talent, and I know the LC community is grateful for your amazing contributions.

Congrats! I stopped cooking due to a stoke but you are tempting me! Yes, I’m ok, it was my poor thyroid…. caused my BP to shoot up which resulted in a blood clot. Sigh. Like Erma always said…. it’s always something.
Carolyn says
Oh boy. Glad you are okay. When did that happen, Edith???

Goodness this is chocolate chip cookie heaven! Do to have any suggestions on which recipe to start with? Or perhaps how they differ from each other? The only one I’ve tried so far is your coconut chocolate chip cookies- it was delicious!
Carolyn says
The sun butter ones have great texture but taste a little different than a regular chocolate chip cookie (we love them in our house). The skillet cookie is ooey and gooey. And the single serve is ooey gooey as well but is made for one person!

What do you use to calculate the nutritional value of your own creations? I’ve looked at a few and the same item shows different on them all so was looking for a reliable source
Carolyn says
I use MacGourmet which pulls from the USDA database so it’s pretty reliable. But you must understand that I don’t count the “carbs” in Swerve because they do not affect my blood sugar. So if you are seeing a big difference, it’s often because MyFitnessPal and things like that do add those carbs in. But they also do have some serious errors at times. A reader once got a 30 g difference in carbs per serving because it translated the stevia into SUGAR! ACk!

Happy Birthday, ADIDAF!!! How did you know I was ALSO craving chocolate chip cookies?
Carolyn says
It’s my bat sense. Although in my case, it’s chocolate chip cookie sense.

Hi Carolyn, if you have a moment, may I have your opinion about which chocolate chip cookie recipe might work well baked as one giant cookie? I hope to make a large one that can be cut into wedges to serve. It doesn’t need to be sturdy enough to eat without utensils, but I’d like it to have the texture and thickness of a regular cookie, without the cakey nature of skillet cookies. Thank you!
Carolyn says
My Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies would work!
Erica B says
Thank you! I look forward to trying the recipe.

My family started the low carb journey 4 years ago. Your blog was one of the first ones I came across. I was in search of sweets for my teenager. Thank you so much. You have helped my beautiful insecure teenager become a beautiful self assured young women. Thank you for teaching us how to use low carb products. Your hot fudge sauce helped her get through high school.
