This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tom’s of Maine. All opinions are 100% mine.
I'm not always the best at remembering to live and love life. I get caught up in the minutae, the little stressors, and I forget to stop and take time to enjoy things. I need reminders to do so, sometimes, because otherwise I can virtually feel life passing me by. That's why I really liked this idea of the Tom's of Maine Good First Facebook App. It's quite a neat thought, that you stop every day and ask yourself what you did first that made you feel especially good.
You choose from five different answers that reflect Tom’s of Maine’s core belief in healthy, human and environmental goodness:
Helping People, Helping Animals, Healthy Eating, Healthy Living, and Caring for Mother Earth.
Your answer then posts to your timeline and the app shows you which of your friends chose the same topic.
Today, I chose Healthy Eating. Given what I blog about, it's obviously a topic that is often at the forefront of my mind. And it just so happens that I made a gorgeous green tea smoothie with healthy, natural ingredients that made me feel good just to sip it. But the possible answers made me think, and made me want to do them over the next few days. Because doing good, for myself or someone (or something!) else, feels good. And we can all use a little more of that.
Several of my Facebook friends also signed up for the app and chose Healthy Eating as well. Interesting that they all happen to be fellow food bloggers!
Tom's of Maine was giving out free samples of their new Naturally Dry Antiperspirant for Women to go along with the launch of the app, but it looks like it's been so darn popular, they are all out. I'm sorry to hear that, as I would have loved to get one myself. I am more and more into using natural products for everything in my household, because I have come to realize how important these things are for our health and the health of our environment. I will be looking for this at my local stores now, as I really want to try it out.
Check out the app yourself, I think you will find it a lovely idea and a great reminder to stop and do good to feel good. And share your answers here, I'd love to hear it!
