Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I am participating in another online bakesale, this time in aid of Japan. It is being hosted by Sabrina of The Tomato Tart, and will take place on Wednesday, March 30th. I urge you all to head over to Sabrina’s blog and check out the amazing array of bakers who are contributing to this cause. All proceeds will be donated to Second Harvest Japan. Natural disasters that are of the magnitude of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami are almost unimaginable. Almost. And even though Japan is better equipped than most countries, they need all the help they can get. Monetary donations are the most important, of course, but sometimes we feel like we need to take action. And what better action for foodies to take than to bake and cook for the cause?
For my part, I will be baking up a large batch of my Peanut Butter Reese’s Pieces Cookies. If you like peanut butter, these are the cookies for you. And I am willing to customize and pack them full of extra Reese’s Pieces, and some chocolate chips as well, if the buyer should so choose. I am also willing to ship them Priority to any address in the US, so that they get there in as fresh condition as possible. I want my buyer to experience the true peanut-buttery, candy-coated awesomeness of these cookies.
But if these are not to your taste, no matter. There are 90+ bloggers and other folks who will be baking up a storm for the bakesale. Please head on over to The Tomato Tart and check out the vast array of goodies that you can bid on. It’s a worthy cause. Truly, there is no cause more worthy.
