The Top 13 Low Carb, Gluten-Free Recipes of 2013

The Best Low Carb Recipes of 2013

When it comes to popularity, some recipes just have an unfair advantage. They were made earlier in the year and so have had more time to be viewed and shared by the general public. Or they get picked up and shared by a big name site or a big name blogger and so they get greater exposure. Or they are made with chocolate and peanut butter. There is no denying that chocolate and peanut butter is always an unfair advantage. So some recipes are just more popular than others and today I am counting down the 13 Most Popular Recipes of All Day I Dream About Food.

But because I know that chance and timing and other factors can affect a recipe’s popularity, I thought I’d also give out 13 Honourable Mentions. Recipes I love that didn’t quite make the pageview cut-off. Some of them I love because they just taste so damn good. Some of them I love because they were innovative and unique. And some I love because they have wonderful memories attached to them. There are probably a lot more I could throw in there for any number of reasons, but I had to limit myself somewhere.

So here are 26 of the Best Low Carb recipes of 2013.

The Brownie Cheesecake is my all time favorite. I’ve made it a lot and EVERYBODY loves it. Besides that, nobody can even tell it’s low carb. I’ve also made the chocolate chips, the pumpkin spice cake, and the lemon cheesecake bars, among others.

I’m sorry the chocolate mint fudge pops, weren’t mentioned. I must have made 5-6 batches of those over the summer!

I think every recipe I’ve tried has been a winner! Thanks for sharing so much!

No problem that you forgot to list here, I have the recipe saved for my own use, just was amazed if it didnt hit the “top” list. But, those coconut donuts are to die for too! Happy New Year and Thank You for all the amazing recipes that make lo carb living do-able for someone who likes to bake, has a sweet tooth, but cant “create” food art/taste sensations like you can ! :) Luckily, I can follow along with instruction, for the most part!

I love to eat and I cook on the weekends. But, I have been gaining a couple of pounds every year. Never could stay on a low fat/low calorie diet. So, I did a little internet research, and started eating low carb about six months ago. I found your website shortly after, and I am so glad I did. Your recipes are a gift to all of us who love food and are discovering how to eat healthy. –You make it possible to love this way of eating! Actually, I think of you as a food scientist.
    Thanks! for your work.

Hi Carolyn, I am relatively new to your site and I am loving what I see. I noticed that you use honey, which I can not have(no agave either), I use swerve and stevia. How can I adapt your recipes that call for honey? I was thinking of boiling down coconut milk(canned) and adding Swerve, what do you think? Thank you for your answer in advance.
I wish you and your family a Happy New Year! Barbara.
