20 Great Low Carb Recipes for Father’s Day

Low Carb Brie and Caramelized Onion Stuffed BurgerFather’s Day is Sunday and if you are at all like me, you haven’t planned a darn thing.  You may have purchased a present online a little late in the game and it hasn’t arrived yet.  You’ll probably grab your kids and head out on Saturday to grab a few small items for them to give the man in your life, and you’ll have them make homemade cards, because what says I Love You, Daddy more than a piece of construction paper with crayon drawings?  And now you’re wracking your brain, trying to come up with a yummy low carb, gluten free meal to feed your man.

I wouldn’t say that the majority of the recipes on this blog are manly.  But I scoured my archives to find a few “man-food” items, or at least Father’s Day appropriate items.  So whether you are going to make him breakfast in bed, a nice dinner or ply him with alcohol and some nice dessert, I’ve got you covered. All delicious, all highly recommended and all appropriate for a low carb diet!

  2. Hi there, how do you suppose it would go if I used Vanilla whey protein instead of unflavored? That’s all I have right now. :-)

  3. Sorry for the cinnamon rolls I was asking about the vanilla whey protein powder vs the unflavored. Thanks again!

    • Stephanie says:

I’ve used Vanilla protein powder in this and it works fine! Since it calls for vanilla extract anyway, the flavors won’t be competing. On another note about this recipe … the first time I made it I thought I had way too much Cinnamon Filling, and didn’t use it all. It was a mistake not to trust Carolyn! :) This recipe is divine – as is!!

    • Carolyn says:

It will probably have a stronger vanilla flavour so skip the extra vanilla extract. Otherwise, it should be quite good still.

Thank you. My Dad is diabetic and eats terrible, so I thought this might be something he would like!
