Make your holidays super special with this festive Keto Eggnog Dip. It has all the flavor of the classic holiday drink and it’s perfect for dipping your favorite keto cookies! And only 1.3g of carbs per serving.
I am relatively new to the concept of dessert dips, but I find myself quite enamoured of them. They offer such a creative twist on desserts like pie and cheesecake. And they’re so easy to serve at get togethers.
I fell hard for my Keto Key Lime Dip earlier this year, and I’ve been itching to try more flavors. And what could be more appropriate for the holiday season than a creamy eggnog cheesecake mousse?
So I whipped up a batch of my Keto Eggnog and got to work, and the results were amazing. I admit, I had a hard time not eating the bowl of dip with a spoon. But I restrained myself and shared some with my husband!
What to serve with eggnog dip?
I know many of you are wondering what you serve with a keto dessert dip like this. The great news is that you have many wonderful options, both homemade and store-bought. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Keto Gingerbread Cookies
- Cubes of Almond Flour Cake (add mini cocktail forks!)
- Keto Sugar Cookies (with or without the icing!)
- Butter Pecan Cookies
- Keto Graham Crackers
- RealPhat Cinnamon Crackers
- Homemade Keto Speculoos Cookies
- HighKey Mini Cookies (the ginger spice, snickerdoodle, or vanilla wafers)
- Strawberries
- Keto Shortbread
- Broken pieces of Keto Pizzelle
Ingredients you need
- Cream cheese: This forms the base of the dip and gives it more structure. Plus it’s like a delicious eggnog cheesecake mousse!
- Sugar Free Eggnog: I highly recommend my homemade Keto Eggnog Recipe. It’s easy to make and tastes just like the real thing.
- Powdered sweetener: I used Swerve Confectioners for this recipe but I think any good powdered erythritol sweetener will work. In my experience, allulose tends to make things pretty soft so it may not set as well if you use it.
- Heavy whipping cream: Whipped cream takes the place of the cool whip found in conventional recipes. Folded in, it makes the dip lighter and airier.
- Rum: The addition of alcohol is entirely optional! You could also using about ½ teaspoon of rum extract.
- Nutmeg: Adding a little nutmeg to the dip gives it more of a classic eggnog flavor.
- Vanilla extract
Step by step directions
1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until very smooth and creamy, about 3 minutes. Beat in one third cup of the powdered sweetener until well combined.
2. Add the eggnog, rum, and nutmeg and beat until well incorporated.
3. In another bowl, beat the whipping cream with the remaining powdered sweetener and the vanilla extract until it holds stiff peaks.
4. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the eggnog mixture. Chill the dip for 1 hour before serving.
Expert tips
Until some brand comes out with a keto friendly eggnog, you need to make your own. It’s quite easy and I guarantee you will like as much or more than the sugary kind. You can easily make a half-batch of my recipe so you don’t end up with too much leftover.
If you make the eggnog in advance and chill it, be sure to let it come to room temperature before beating it into the dip. Cold eggnog will make the nice, smooth cream cheese clump up again.
Once you have prepared the eggnog, this dip is incredibly easy to make. Just beat the cream cheese, whip the cream, and mix it all together. It will be on the soft side but an hour or so in the fridge helps firm it up nicely.

Which cookies in your picture are the ones that are imprinted? I got a gorgeous embossing rolling pin for Christmas and I’m itching for a great cookie recipe to try it out with 🙂
Thanks!

Sounds like a fabulous alternative to a dollop of whipped cream on top of any dessert. Will definitely try both this and the first one this season! A well-meaning friend just commiserated that we have had to ”deprive” ourselves ”to live longer”. I quickly corrected her that, thanks to you, it’s just the opposite: we get to TREAT ourselves to live HEALTHIER! ????❤️
