About

I’m Carolyn, the author, photographer, and evil mastermind behind All Day I Dream About Food. I’m always cooking up delicious keto-friendly meals, snacks, and treats – everything from hearty dinners to easy breakfasts to delectable sugar-free desserts.

I am also the best-selling author of multiple keto cookbooks, including The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking and The Protein Advantage. My mission is to prove to the world that special diets need not be boring or restrictive. It’s astonishing what you can do with a bag of almond flour, a stick of butter, and a willingness to experiment.

A born-and-bred Canadian, I now live in Portland, Oregon with my three children. My beloved husband, Tim, died unexpectedly in 2025.

My Journey

The way I see it, I didn’t choose the keto lifestyle…it chose me. After being diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my third pregnancy, I began watching my carb intake. But I refused to give up my lifelong passion for baking and cooking. I just had to find new ways to do it.

To my delight, I discovered that with a little ingenuity, many high carb recipes can be converted to keto without sacrificing flavor. I’ve had quite a bit of success, with a few outright failures thrown in to keep me humble.

I started All Day I Dream About Food for fun back in 2010 but it quickly grew into a full time endeavour with millions of readers and followers. And I am devoted to bringing you creative low carb recipes that delight the senses.

Features

My work has been featured in a wide array of print and digital publications, including Good Morning America, Muscle and Fitness, Shape Magazine, and Diet Doctor. I’ve also made appearances on KATU Afternoon Live and at Keto Con.
