Given its prevalence, there is a good chance that you know someone with celiac disease. Maybe it’s a friend. Maybe it’s a family member. Heck, maybe it’s you! And there’s a good chance that this person is not looking forward to the holidays quite as much as everyone else. What with all the gluten-laden treats on hand, they have to tread carefully, lest they spend a good deal of the festivities in serious discomfort. While everyone else is enjoying the cookies and cakes, they are standing near the cheese plate, looking wistful and forlorn.
Thankfully, it doesn’t need to be this way. Jeanine over at The Baking Beauties has put together the most amazing e-book, filled with gluten-free goodies of all sorts, specifically for the holidays. She put out a call for bloggers and readers alike to send in their best GF holiday recipes, and many talented bakers responded.
It’s a wonderful collection of recipes, from pie crust to gingerbread, and I feel fortunate to have been a part of this project. And it’s completely free. Just click the image above and you will be taken to Jeanine’s blog, where you can download the e-book to your own computer. The recipes all look wonderful and are sure to please even if you don’t have to avoid gluten. And if there is a celiac in your life, having one or more of these treats on hand for them will surely make their holidays more merry and bright.
