2024 was a delicious year at All Day I Dream About Food. Here are the Top 10 Keto Recipes of the past year. Did your favorites make the cut?
Here we are, just days away from 2025. I never feel quite ready for a new year to dawn, as it always seems to come so fast. But I do love looking back over the past year and reflecting on all the wonderful moments. Particularly the foodie moments.
I do this sort of retrospective post every year because I love creating keto recipes. I always find it fascinating to look back over the past 12 months to see which of those recipes resonated most with my readers and followers.
As you will see from the following list, a distinct pattern emerges. Low carb high protein recipes quickly became the most popular and gained a great many fans.
2024 was something of a transformational year for me. After signing on to write a high protein cookbook (which will be out in the early spring!), I researched the subject in great detail. And I found myself ever-more convinced that eating high protein is vital to our health as we age.
So what does 2025 hold? Clearly protein will play a central role in my diet and in my recipes. I am eager to see where this takes me and I hope you will be along for the journey.
1. Cinnamon Roll Protein Muffins

2. Keto Waffles
I worked overtime to perfect a recipe for keto waffles. I’ve probably tested several dozen variations of them over the past few months, tweaking them slightly each time. I started with the batter for my keto pancakes and adjusted a little here and a little there until I had nailed it.
3. Chocolate Protein Balls
Little protein bites that taste like brownies and have less than 3 grams net carbs per serving? That’s my kind of keto snack! Yeah, I thought you’d like that. No, you can’t have any of mine. Go make your own. It’s easy!
4. Keto Pop Tart Bars
Keto Pop Tart Bars are seriously delicious. Do they taste like pop tarts? Clearly you are asking the wrong person. But they have a wonderful tender crust filled with sweet keto jam. And the glaze and sprinkles makes them appealing to all ages!
5. Keto Crackers
I have been making these keto crackers for a gajillion years. Yes, gajillion is a real word. It means “so long I hardly care to even think about it”.Mind you, it’s not this exact recipe. But I created a version of almond flour crackers back in 2011 that had similar ingredients and method. My keto baking skills and my photography were both in their nascent stages, so I have since removed that recipe. But I’ve been making variations of them ever since!
6. Chocolate Ricotta Cake
Easy elegance is the name of the game with this Keto Chocolate Ricotta Cake. Baking cakes in a bundt pan ensures beautiful presentation every time. Add some sugar-free chocolate ganache drizzling down the sides, and it’s absolutely swoon-worthy!
7. Keto Cabbage Roll Soup
This comforting Cabbage Roll Soup has all the flavor of the classic dish with a fraction of the carbs. And it’s far easier to make too! Add this recipe to your list of keto ground beef recipes for a simple and delicious winter meal.
8. Protein Bagels
I have jumped on the cottage cheese bandwagon. As in took a flying leap and landed with a resounding thud. Seriously, why did no one ever tell me how high in protein this funny curdy stuff is? Now that I am aware and enlightened, what shall I do with that knowledge? Well, to start, I re-created the viral Protein Bagels with low carb ingredients. And they are fabulous!
9. Keto German Chocolate Brownies
The world is a much better place with these Keto German Chocolate Brownies in it. Okay, so they aren’t going to bring about world peace any time soon. But they will bring a few sighs of happiness into your household. And contented people with happy tummies are less likely to start fights. I’d say that’s a pretty good place to start!
10. Cottage Cheese Muffins
I wanted something to add to my list of high protein breakfast ideas. It needed to be tasty, easy to make, and something I could make ahead. These Keto Cottage Cheese Muffins met all of my expectations and then some!
