2019 was a very good year on All Day I Dream About Food, with some of my most popular keto recipes yet! Read on for the best keto recipes of the last 12 months.

Featured recipe for the best keto recipes of 2019. A stack of almond flour pancakes with butter melting on top.

Whoa! It’s not just the end of another year. It’s the end of a DECADE! We are about to enter the 2020s, and my mind is reeling a bit with the momentousness of that. Did you know that ADIDAF has been around for almost 10 years? March 3rd, 2020 will mark this blog’s 10 year anniversary.

One of the things I’ve learned in my almost 10 years as a food blogger is that not every recipe is an instant hit. Some go totally viral from the beginning and some are the slow burn variety, starting off quietly but finding more and more fans as time passes. And some recipes just don’t seem to go anywhere at all, and just sort of fizzle with gaining any traction.

A collage of the best keto recipes of 2019.

What makes a keto recipe popular?

Excellent question, my friends. If I knew that, then every single recipe I created would go totally viral and I’d be making millions of dollars. Alas, I don’t always know what will do well and what won’t, and so I focus mostly on the recipes I want to make.

Turns out that this is a good approach, and that a lot of what appeals to me happens to appeal to you too. I guess we often crave the same things!

I do get a kick out of looking back and seeing which were the most popular keto recipes of the year. It’s always a surprise to me to see which recipes took off and which didn’t.

Some of my favourites make the list and some of my favourites get completely overlooked. I’ve come to realize that it’s entirely beyond my control and I should just enjoy the process.

Top 10 Keto Recipes of 2019

Enough blathering on! Without further ado, here are the best keto recipes of the year!

Keto Almond Flour Pancakes in a stack with berries and sugar free syrup

    Keto Almond Flour Pancakes

I created this easy pancake recipe for my cookbook Easy Keto Breakfasts, and I knew I was on to something. Super light and fluffy, and they turn out well every time. They have been a HUGE hit and have become one of the most popular keto pancake recipes on the internet. They make fabulous waffles too!

Keto Chicken Broccoli Casserole in a cast iron skillet

    Easy Chicken Broccoli Casserole

A simple keto dinner that packs a flavour punch. And it’s a skillet meal so there’s less to clean up. Get your veggies, protein, and fat all together in one delicious meal.

Keto coffee cake muffins on a white plate with strawberries.

    Keto Coffee Cake Muffins

Tender keto muffins with a delectable cinnamon crumb topping. These were a huge hit from the moment I hit publish, and they’re just as good or better than what you might find at a bakery. Make a batch today!

Keto blueberry muffins in a cluster with fresh blueberries. Titled image

    Keto Blueberry Yogurt Muffins

I do love muffins and I have any number of wonderful muffin recipes on this blog. These were first created for Instagram but they did so well there, I decided to share them on the blog as well. The batter is so easy to whip up and the muffins are light and fluffy.

Keto friendly tortilla chips being dipped into guacamole

    Keto Tortilla Chips

Snack attack! These almost zero carb tortilla chips are perfect for snacking, scooping up salsa and guacamole, and crumbling over your favourite soups.

Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef that's keto friendly.

    Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

A surprise hit! This easy slow cooker recipe is a copycat of the famous dish from PF Changs, but with no added sugars. It’s so simple to make, it’s what I call a “dump and run” recipe… dump everything in your slow cooker, walk away, and a few hours later, dinner is done!

A stack of sugar-free salted caramel butter bars in front of a cup of coffee

    Salted Caramel Butter Bars

DO NOT MISS THIS RECIPE! Oh. Em. Gee. Buttery, tender crumb bars with a filling of salted caramel. I swoon just talking about them.

Keto Chocolate Cereal in a bowl with a strawberry and cream

    Nut-Free Chocolate Cereal

Have you ever tried using Sunflower Seed Flour? It’s a total game-changer for people who need to be nut-free on keto. There are some tricks to using it, but this chocolate cereal was a crazy hit with my kids. I think they might have finished the whole batch in one day.

Keto Pumpkin Crumb Cake in a stack on a white plate

    Keto Pumpkin Crumb Cake

The perfect keto coffee cake recipe for pumpkin lovers! So tender and full of that beloved pumpkin spice flavor.

Easy Cheeseburger Casserole with Spaghetti Squash

    Keto Cheeseburger Casserole

With a twist! This casserole is another delicious one pan meal, combining veggies right into the pan. Get all your macros in an easy keto dinner recipe.

Hi! I made your pecan pound cake. I only had 1 1/2 cups almond flour but had pecan flour so used it for the rest of the almond flour. It is Delish! Would love to send pics and what exactly I did different due to not having some mod the ingredients.
Thank you for the recipe we love it!

I just received the Keto Baking cookbook yesterday. Spent time yesterday and today poring over it. So much great information and the recipes!!! Drool! I can’t wait to get started tomorrow with the molasses and snickerdoodle cookies, and biscotti. Then I have to wait for my next amazon order of ingredients and tools to do more. My kitchen is pretty well keto stocked, but needed (wanted) a few odd things. Thanks for all your creating and testing with these expensive ingredients, and for making my keto lifestyle so much tastier and more interesting.

My favorite is the Mushroom Risotto! I swear it is like my original risotto that I spend so much time stirring over the stove. The only difference is that instead of using Parmesan, I always use freshly grated Romano. I usually pair it with grilled lamb chops.

Well the Swiss Meringue Buttercream is, in my opinion, a huge step forward in keto baking. So it deserves acknowledgment! https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/best-sugar-free-frosting/

And I am quite surprised the peppermint patties weren’t in the top 10 either! https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/keto-peppermint-patties/
